Install only what you can verify.
DeskChord is a local Windows and Android workspace. This page reports the release path honestly: when an artifact is available, you can inspect its publisher and integrity before pairing the devices beside you.

01 / CHAPTER
Availability is a status, not a promise.
A release becomes installable only after its artifact, publisher identity, integrity data and platform notes are present together. The preview does not expose a made-up installer or an unverified download button.
- When no current artifact is available, the next step is compatibility review rather than a guessed package.
- A release note must identify the target platform, architecture, version and validation state.
- The local product remains LAN-only; this page is not part of the peer data path.

02 / CHAPTER
Windows stays inside the current user.
The Windows build is designed for the signed-in user session. It does not install a service, elevation helper or driver to cross the operating-system boundaries that protect UAC, the secure desktop and the lock screen.
- Target architecture: Windows 10/11 x64, subject to the exact release record.
- No background service, lock-screen control or secure-desktop input is part of the contract.
- If the OS refuses a protected surface, DeskChord stops at that boundary and keeps local control available.

03 / CHAPTER
Android asks for the setting you chose.
Android capabilities are explicit system choices. Pointer input may need Accessibility; keyboard and bounded text paths need DeskChord IME enabled, selected and live; Interactive View uses the system capture consent; Pen Tablet needs a supported stylus surface.
- Enable and select DeskChord as the active input method before testing keyboard or clipboard text.
- Accessibility is a separate user action for pointer gestures and is never silently enabled.
- Capture, stylus and power-management behavior can vary by Android device maker.

04 / CHAPTER
Publisher and integrity come with the artifact.
A real release record should let you inspect the publisher identity, signature or package provenance, version, size and hash beside the exact artifact. Until that record exists, this page intentionally makes no authenticity claim.
- Compare the displayed hash and size with the file you actually received.
- Do not install a package that has no matching publisher or integrity record.
- A failed verification is a stop condition, not a prompt to bypass the check.

05 / CHAPTER
The current focus is a real tablet beside your desk.
Pen Tablet is a foreground stylus route from a supported Android tablet to a selected Windows work area. It carries pen and eraser events without turning the tablet into a display driver or a video mirror.
- Keep the DeskChord pen surface in the foreground while drawing.
- Screen view is separate; Interactive View touch is an Input-gated session opt-in, while Stylus remains the pen capability.
- Pressure, tilt, buttons and reconnect behavior still require current-device acceptance.

FAQ
Clear answers before you install.
Can I install a Windows build from this preview?
Not unless a current artifact is accompanied by its release record. The safe path is to check compatibility and wait for a verifiable package instead of installing an unknown file.
Why is there no unsigned installer link?
A package without a matching publisher and integrity record cannot be verified. DeskChord treats that missing evidence as a stop condition rather than presenting a misleading download action.
Which Android settings should be ready first?
Enable and select the DeskChord IME for keyboard and bounded text, enable Accessibility when using pointer gestures, approve system capture for Interactive View and keep a supported stylus surface in the foreground for Pen Tablet.
Does Pen Tablet require a display driver?
No. It is a foreground pen and eraser route to a selected Windows work area; desktop video and Interactive View touch remain separate paths.
